First of all I would like to thank you for your extensive knowledge on Bit Locker and for writing a great article. I am in a bind where I require some assistance. It have become aware that while encrypting workstation, some workstation did not get put in the group policy which points the Active Directory Server where Bitlocker must write the recovery key. Is there a way where I can add the group policy to the workstation and force the key to write to the Active Directory Client? If not is there a way to export the recovery key to write to a Active Directory Object?

The recovery key will only be added to AD when when the pass code is set… You should be able to save a new recovery key by suspending and resuming encryption.

Also FYI I don’t update this web site any more…my new group policy web site is at http://www.grouppolicy.biz
